I am having a weird problem with my G13. The LCD apps work fine (Mumble, RSS, clock, stopwatch, etc.) and it detects profiles for my games fine. But the keys don't work. They don't even work when I force a profile and open Notepad. Running the LGS (8.20.74) in administrator mode doesn't do it.

Any suggestions?

Which version of Windows are you running? I would try running the Logitech Gaming software as Administrator along with whichever game you are playing.

Meltech, I'm running Win7 64bit.

As I mentioned in my first post, running with the LGS in administrator mode does not work. The Nostromo worked with any game I cared to throw at it until I updated to the latest version of the LGS software.

I suppose I can understand problems with the game not being in admin mode... but Notepad?!? Why would you need elevated permissions to type in Notepad? I can't get any keypress to show up in Notepad, no matter if I use the default profile or lock it to another profile that I have previously used successfully. Running with LGS as administrator doesn't fix it either.

While I'm at it, I have a suggestion for the next version of LGS: Some sort of test bed where you can manipulate the device and see the command that has been mapped. Likewise, make it work in reverse where you can press a key on your regular keyboard and have the system display to you which key on the device is mapped to it.

I would suggest turning off UAC and testing it again. It could be blocking the program.

No joy. Now my G13 doesn't work and I have compromised the security of my computer.

Okay, the previous version of the software seemed to do better. Where can I download prior versions of the LGS?

You can re-enable UAC it's not a permanent thing.

Well, I found the solution.

I uninstalled the latest LGS (version 8.20) and re-installed LGS version 7.xxx (something or other. I will check tonight) that I had laying around. I know have my keys working again in all applications and I didn't even lose my custom profiles.

Speaking of which, I do not see a place on your website to download previous iterations of the LGS. I was lucky I had my original installation file in my downloads folder.

Please pass this along to your development team, as I'm sure they're going to want to hear about it. Thanks for your help!

I have the same problem.  LCD comes on both the keys are ineffective.

PC, 64 bit Windows 7, Mostly trying to run world of Tanks.

Suddenly I seem to have a similar situation.  I can load a profile but until I make each profile persistent each time I go to play a game, the keys do not work.

This is not how the G13 was working a few days ago.

I have had some problems recently with the clock not keeping accurate time, could there be a hardware problem at work here?
