G25 AC Adapter

Hi, my G25 AC adapter burn, and logitech support team asked to search on the web for an equal adapter. I've search not only the Web but almost all Chinese stores in Portugal for an universal AC adapter but the only junk they have is an universal adapter for laptops, which means that the connector is curve and not straight like original adapter. This means in easy words that the wheel doesn't support on the desk because of the connector. Means too I can't play with it because every second it falls of the desk... Rubbish... Tired of this 3 month situation I would like to know if logitech HAS A SOLUTION or tell me who sells this junk of adapters so that I can contact the company and buy one. It's kinda curious to buy a NEW ENTIRE KIT when this things happens....

Best regards,

Re: G25 AC Adapter

Still waiting for a soluction about this.... My wheel now has a spider living on it and it's full of cobwebs... But maybe he still works who know... it got one year only!

About those who complain about logitech wheels in the forum, you should buy a car with the 350€ they want for the G27. In Portugal you can buy one car and still got at least 100€ for your car :smileyhappy: the amount of electricity you save gives you an hand to refuel it...

Logitech do we all spend so much money to this? To be stuck because you don't sell parts, you don't have anything.... It's not a good image from a worldwide company... You also make the "Chinese rubbish productions" be true, low quality to save money then rob who buys this pieces... Shame... :mansad:

Re: G25 AC Adapter

Well after 2 months of waiting in the silence, I've decided to make my last comment on this topic:

First thing (and this is for all who have a wheel that doesn't respond) that's probably the junk Adapter you connect to electricity, they will fail one day and that can be just 1 hour after you set your beautiful wheel on your usual driving place. Sometimes unplug and plug will be enough (like support here already said many times) (if he just stopped working because of heat) some others it has burn and it's time to REPLACE ENTIRE PRODUCT, because Logitech don't have spare Adapters (maybe they fear of giving you another rubbish?)

Second thing, your support is rubbish when compared to other companies. Employees are people who exists to say just programmed sentences "Go to your local shop"," try the unplug everything and plug again","we don't have spare parts", "we can't help you sorry...".
And it's not their fault someway because the shame is the responsible is probably siting on the couch seeing TV or siting on the couch approving or not new products to steal make more money...

Third thing rubbish materials: There should be a concern on Logitech products quality, they are sometimes more than 3 times more expensive than other brands and the quality is as many times lower than the "cheap" solutions of the market. For this case I'm basing in some headphones I have from Logitech (clear chat) and someones from Mitsai brand. The quality of the sound is the same, the Logitech ones cost 50€ the mitsai ones 15€ and the logitech stopped working properly at the end of 3 months... The others have 12 months and still ok

Well maybe it's just me that is unlucky with your products as well as thousands of people in the world... Or there is really something TO DO about this....

Re: G25 AC Adapter

Just find any wall brick with 24VDC out, 750 mA or higher, splice the original cord with the straight plug to it making sure the center is positive and there you go.

The original adapter is on the garbage for a long time... and I've used a lot of these universal adaptors but they don't allow me to hold the wheel on the desk because of the cord... so that's why it will stay in the box and if I still alive in 40 years I will proudly send Logitech a photo saying "I'm still waiting...."

Anyways thank you very much for your good sugestion that would really do it but I believe Logitech should really concern about their costumers...

Anyways I will do a formal complain about this...

Surley... what is your Problem?

http://www.laaudiofile.com/g25.html

If you look there under Wiring, i dont see a problem why you cant use a normal 24V, min 750mA Adapter (with a standard 5,5mm/2,1mm connector) somthing like this:

http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/512799/VOLTCRAFT-FPPS-24-18W-STECKER-NETZT-24V/2110120

This is on a germanside but I think you will find something like this in you country.

So just look better and dont blame LG that you cant find one.

PS: Found it on the international side.

well indeed thank you for your help but let me expose the situation:

As you can see in the "wiring" of that review page you show, the power connector is straight, the only universal adapters I can find in Portugal as a curve connector designed for laptops... that way I cannot fix the wheel on the desk...

Then it need as you said 24V but it needs at least 1750mA... It also needs at least 60W power but should support a bit more otherwise will end like the original piece...

If you can help me find something like that you definetly rock :smileyhappy:

Anyways Logitech as a brand should support their costumers and not just say "go search this "Part Number 190542-0000 Adapter Output 24V 1.75A " on your local electronics shop..."

When I did this in a retail store their answer was "we do not sell AC adapters, search logitech, if they put them inside boxes with the wheel they have a company that produces them, so they are the only ones that can help you on that sir... Any brand that makes electronic devices that need adapters can get you spare parts... if they don't I can't help on that..."

And he was more that right, I never seen such a "support" like logitech provides in any company, and believe I'm very happy to know you're happy with Logi...

Yeah maybe your right with that.. seems like they dont have a division for that, on german logitech page you can find an "Ersatzteile" (spare parts) sector but thes dont have powersupplys. Needs a bit work on it...

PS: Oh i forgot...

1,75 A... thats much OK... i found one, but of course it costs more then 10 € ^^

PPS: god **bleep** i hate the internatinal site... its not as good sorted as the national (german) one... -.-

that's a solution... 41€ ain't cheap to someone like me who get's near 200€ month from a partime but it's a solution lol.

Seems to be a good option, maybe another year saving money will solve it haha

Thank you for your help :smileywink:

PS: I'm wondering how much does logitech spend in G25 / G27 adapters... 2€? x)

Who knows if Lidl will sell one of this for 10€ hehe...
