Re: G27 wheel not responding, everything else works.

I have the same problem, shifts gas pedal, brakes work.  But no steering at all.  Just bought this to play EA nascar and I cant use it.  This **bleep**..... It cost more than the PS3 no instructions very vague.  Does some one know what I can do other than return it and buy another brand?

Re: G27 wheel not responding, everything else works.

I managed to fix my wheel just by tightening a screw. I had the same issue: gearshift led blinking, no wheel response, but everything else working (shifter, pedals, wheel buttons).

This site shows how to disassemble the wheel (real all instructions carefully)

http://www.jlvrh.de/G27_UK.htm

This image is the one which displays the screw you should tighten up.

To find it, you will have to remove the black cover off the motor, it is a bit tough to remove the cover but you need to be persistent. Take care with the wires around it.

I tightened up that small screw, reassembled the whell, and voilá! My G27 is back.

sarrg, thank you, sir!

That is the exact problem I had and your solution worked!

How on Earth did you figure that out? That's a pretty serious bug.

Dirt2

im my case i solve it.
Ok if you have the same problem caused by Alt+Tab do the following:

a) go at options>profiles>change profile

b)after you have create a new profile go Docyments & setings> Owner> My documents> My games> Dirt 2> Savegame

c) open the last Autosave file and copy the file with name GTEHXOSJZ

d)go to the prevew autosave file that there is your saves and the problem and replace GTEHXOSJZ with the new one

e) runn the game and enjoy your wheel with FFB

I hope that i help you guys, this is my first helping post on somthing.

After being crying hours and hours in front of my G27 (bought 6 weeks ago) working only when it had its head looking down, reversed on my knees !!! (...) Actually, it's weird but if i fitted it to my desk it went wrong again with no-recenter, flashing light on the shifter & more steer issues...   This issue appears without preventing at all.

That solution worked perfectly for me. Thanks GermanoBax.

That screw was loosen for at least 4 or 5 rounds !!!

Now it's working perfectly.

I believe Logitech and I saved a lot of money with this "Do-It-Yourself" solution.

I hope Logitech Team will answer that topic. Anyway i'm going to contact them to give my feedback.

Regards

Re: G27 wheel not responding, everything else works.

i am having the exact same problem.

i plug in wheel in all diff usb ports, different power ports, wheel is unresponsive.

all buttons, pedals, wheel led (rev meter) wheel buttons all work, gear paddles behind wheel work. but turning wheel does nothing.

unresponisve in the wheel settings in profiler aswell.

when i plug in it does not spin either, wheel doesnt spin or turn like other wheels when plugged in.

Re: G27 wheel not responding, everything else works.

I too get this same problem, tried the trouble shooting with 30 seconds out of power and usb, didn't fix it.

Everything works but the wheel.

I really don't want to open it up myself and fix it... reminds me of the clearchat wireless left side of the headset issue that I had when it was out of warranty. Bad design.

/sigh getting sick of all the faults with logitechs I've been having recently... All of them issues with manufacturing =/

Re: G27 wheel not responding, everything else works.

I think there is a conflict with the wheel and my NuForce uDAC-2 USB D/A converter, which I use instead of an internal sound card.  When I make the default audio device the onboard audio from the motherboard, the wheel works fine.  When I use the USB D/A converter, the wheel works briefly and then stops and I get the blinking green light.

Re: G27 wheel not responding, everything else works.

After too many hours dissapointed with my new G27 wheel and getting really shocked with the weak and silent support of Logitech support...

I know what you guys are feeling so i registered just to gave you my solution (this works also for Logitech support so they can help others with this information).

For all you guys with Windows 7 and wheel stops working randomly during game, power light flashing, etçª,  just follow those 2 steps (I'm not a Logitech worker, lol):

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/147369-usb-selective-suspend-turn-off.html

http://www.pcauthorities.com/drivers/how-to-disable-power-management-on-usb-root-hub/

Hope it solves your problems, it solved mine, i'm using Windows 7 64 bits.

Cheers!
