I am having issues with the wheel not staying in allignment.
When the wheel first powers up, it goes through its little spin diagnostic and everything is fine. As I use it, I realise that I have to keep the wheel turned to the left to keep the car moving straight. The more turns I make, the worse it gets. Eventually I cannot make a left turn because the wheel has to be all the way to the left just to keept he car moving straight. I have tried it with all levels of force feedback and centering spring tension and nothing seems to prevent it from losing allignment.
Unplugging the wheel and replugging it seems to reset it, but after a few minutes of driving it happens again. I am past my 30 day return limit and I really hope there is a way to fix this, or I just wasted 300 dollars. The wheel is brand new and only been used three times.

I'm having exactly the same problem.
Please Logitech, tell us what to do to have the wheel centered again.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to avoid damaging this piece of hardware. (US$ 300,00!)
I contacted the Customer Support and received a link to download WingMan software (supposed to correct the problem), but it seems that it's not available anymore, at least for Windows 7 users like me.
It's frustrating to play GRID, DiRT or any racing game from Simbin (RACE, RACE 07, GTR Evolution, STCC or Race On) with such fancy wheel and have it not centered. I quit the game instantly!
Just as a reference, my wheel is 7 days old! (considering this post date)
Please, help us.
Certainly, more Logitech G27 Racing Wheel owners will start reporting the same problem.
My kindest regards,
Alessandre

As someone who own's many products in the G lineup I was very dissapointed with this problem as my G25 also had the same problem. However the fix for the G25 doesn't seem to work on the G27 so now I get to use my G27 as a 300 dollar paperweight until logitech fixes the problem. My wheel is roughly a week old as well and just recently started showing this problem.

Yes and thats the weirdest thing about it, the wheel wasnt like this out of the box, but the more I use it the worse it progresses.

Could it be defective USB ports? I don`t think so, because may motherboard is as old as the wheel, roughly 10 days.
Could it be Gaming compatibility problems? I don`t think so, because all games I mentioned (GRID, DiRT, and Simbin simulators, as well as rFactor, practically all of them recognize the Logitech MOMO, Logitech G25, why not G27?
I`m saying that because the wheel starts almost centered, but during the gameplay, when force feedback (FFB) mechanism is submitted to different scenarios, i.e. turns, up and down, crashing, etc., it starts to move away from the center position, giving us a strange feeling, and then you must stop the game, quit, disconnect the wheel, put it back and check if it has returned to center position.
Please, Logitech, let us know if this is a problem, and mainly, tell us how to fix it. I`m pretty sure Logitech will help us.
PS.: just tried to play some sim racing game today with no success. Again, it`s frustrating.
Have you all a great day!
My best regards,
Alessandre

Even with a game that recognizes the G27 specifically (Need For Speed Shift) there is no difference. Even with the centering spring and force feedback completely turned off, there is no difference :-(

Same problem. Took approximately 20 hours or so of gameplay before I first noticed it... Now I can't get through 3 laps of GT5 prologue without resetting the usb plug. Or even 1 drift session. Dirt 2 seems to take 20 -30 minutes of play before the center begins migrating left.

they really need to hire some more people in their call center... I have been on hold for over half an hour.
