I just spoke with Stephan with Customer Service and he stated that CharlesB is working on the problem. CharlesB, did you see the Renezh's pics and is this something we should do to fix the problem?
Any info would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks

Secret inner workings of Logitech revealed @.@
Ha, anyways, you guys are going to have to trust me on this, but the pics posted in the thread aren't quite actually the problem (err, well, not the only potential cause of the problem), but doing that adjustment (which would certainly void your warranty) will tune the system around the issue in some cases. G27s with this issue, plus the images from this thread and additional research that I've put into the matter, has already been fed back to hardware QA and the factory. This is one of the many things I'm working on right now.
The best solution to this problem is to contact customer support, as they will make the determination if it's a hardware or software issue, and walk people through the resolution. Taking matters into one's own hands can void the warranty and other such bad stuff

I bought my G27 today, actually about 2 hours ago, I just played with it for 30 minutes and felt something not right.
Its 11:16 pm right now... I'll be returning it first thing in the morning tomorrow. Not because its broken or because it showed any defect.. but because of these comments I read here.
I've paid an arm and leg for it. It was more expensive than Amazon US, but about $100 more expensive. In Kuwait, that means a good deal, cuz normally things are way over priced and sold tripple its original price (that used to be the case with Logitech anyways).
Now all shops are filled with G27, its common practice for companies (such as Soney) and other brands to sell their none compliance products in our market. But i think it would be the first to sell a defective one here... It would be really sad especially its almost impossible to talk the shop owner to take back this toy from me and give me back my money. There is no Best Buy here... and I guess Logitech acknowldge that and thats why they find it its suitable to sell this product here this way.
I'm sad, i'm really sad right now. I was walking to the shop and thinking should I buy this and spend this much on it or should I not... finnaly I said it will give me good time and I'll enjoy every penny I spent. but in the end it seems its going to be wasted money and no joy.
Sad.

ChriesB, Tell me... What should I do? Should I return it now that I didn't keep it for 24 hours and get my money back or maybe get something I could sell.. or should I keep it and play with it until it breaks off and then ask for my warranty to be met?
Will logitech stand up to its word and fix it once problem identified?
I know G27 is not released recently and its been out for a while. Can you identify which part numbers are suffering this quality issues?

Charles,
When is this issue suppose to be resolved? I would very much like a G27 wheel, but not after reading what I have here. I have already had to repair the MOMO wheel I have, and I don't really want to do the same with the G27.

I have had my wheel since January and I have been having this problem for the last couple weeks or so. Now that I know others are having this problem I'll be calling support to figure this out. Huge disappointment as this affects my online racing and if this doesn't get resolved I might as well look for a new place to get a wheel.

I have had the not returning to centre issue with my G27. After pulling apart the wheel and investigating every potential cause of the problem, I think I have determined the cause, which revolves around the optical sensing wheel. Anyone experiencing the issues mentioned in this thread feel free to contact me(edited out personal info)and I will explain how I fixed the problem. Of course, pulling apart the wheel will void the warranty but if you have no other choice then my solution may be the answer.

Well, keep in mind that the warranty is at least 1 year, and the product hasn't been out for a year yet, so if you have the problem, you should go ahead and contact support for a replacement, as that will preserve your warranty ![]()
