Re: G35 Headset Sound Issue

Hi,

I know this thread is pretty old, however I was dealing with the same issue the same as you thinking it might have been a hardware issue but after uninstalling the Logitech gaming software I was able to get perfect balance in my headset again.

If anybody is having this issue and comes across this just uninstall the software and reboot and everything should go back to normal. It just seems to be a software issue. So until Logitech fixes their software I don't suggest using it unless you want to think you're going deaf in one ear ü

Re: G35 Headset Sound Issue

Just want to give the Logitech guys a headsup.

My G35 has worked flawlessly (without Logitech software) in Windows7 64bit.  Until a couple days ago.

Mic started blinking wildly and computer stopped recognizing the G35 headset.  I haven't made any software changes or updates - that I know of.

Today, if recognized, sound is biased to the right ear in games only.  "This only happens with G35 headset".

Windows Environment:

I rebooted my PC 7 times to get the headset to be recognized.

Windows drivers are up to date (I checked).

Tested win7 speaker setup (under speaker properties/advanced).  Works great.

Sound is fine for my music player, streaming audio sources

GAMES ONLY sound is biased to right ear.

****I did notice that my windows audio "enhancements" list is different now (under speaker properties), from a few days ago.  Less selections (3 instead of 4 selections) and 2 of my audio inputs has been relabled spdif inputs.

Logitech software

I installed new logitech headphone software (as indicated in other threads).

Testing Surround (slightly less distinction in directional sound in right ear - maybe it's me)

Testing Stereo works

Watching streaming audio/video, works in surround/stereo

Music player works in surround/stereo

In games - Surround sound works

In games - STEREO is biased to right ear

In my F1 splash screen, music works fine, but once it enters menu selection it resorts to right ear bias in strereo mode.

Thought this info might prove useful.  This only affects my G35 headset.  My other two Logitech headsets work fine (H530 & ?).

I'm going to try a windows restore prior to a couple days ago.  See what happens.  Will report back.

Re: G35 Headset Sound Issue

Wait...I installed the logitech software.  Then my windows selections for my audio changed.

Maybe related?  maybe not.
