This thread is called "Community" Support for a reason. If you call customer service about an issue with the G940, they will happily support you to the extent that they are able. Therefore, technically, Logi is still supporting this product. Trying to bully them into answering post by saying, "if you don't reply to this thread your mother is a cave troll" will probably not be successful.

The problem with your theory is that with ANY OTHER PRODUCT on this board there is IMMEDIATELY a moderator who jumps in and works their magic. When it comes to the G940 we're told that this message board is for peer-to-peer help only blah blah blah.
I LITERALLY once saw a thread where someone was complaining about a legitimate G940 problem and was told that this is for peer-to-peer help only. The VERY NEXT THREAD was someone with a problem with their Logitech HDMI cable and within minutes Logi reps were replying "try this, try that". That's proof enough to me that they don't want to support the G940 any more.
If you call they just have you ship yours in and they replace it with another that has the same problems. The problems with the vast majority of the G940 units (and the problems that we consistently complain about) are due to design flaws and not actual defects. As a result they could replace your unit a thousand times and it won't be fixed. Only a design hardware upgrade and a firmware upgrade will fix these issues and that is NOT going to happen by talking to customer support.
Believe me they are well aware of these problems and have been for the last 18 months (probably longer). Instead of fixing the issues and reaping the benefits they instead chose to sweep it under the rug and write it off as a loss. And the sad thing is that the company is so large that it doesn't even matter to them.

Even with all the updates, the joystick is still floppy in the middle, making most fight sims I play almost completely unflyable because the planes will oscillate around all surfaces when moving just a little bit (due to the floppyness) and the joystick continually sags forward meaning it's always going nose down.
Just unacceptable.
Can anyone recommend a decent flight system? I'm a pilot IRL and I use the sims for instrument practice and such.

sorry mate, but YES, my brand new G940 bought from Logitech Online store comes with that!
It says
Profiler 5.10.127
Driver 5.10.127
What the changes are, what the fixes... no idea!!!!
But so far I have zero issues.
Apart from: zero ready profiles -only Sturmovik-... The Profiler does not find my flight sims and does not offer any 'profiles' so i have to do every game from scratch...
