G940 issues

[ Edited ]

Hi guys, i recently bought a brand new logitech G940 HOTAS setup, and so far the thing has been nothing but trouble :smileysad:  Not only did it arrive without the AC adapter needed to power the thing, logitech couldnt source the adapter for me, and i had to buy one myself on ebay (legit brand new part)

Now that i finally have it all setup, im having an issue with the force feedback.  I have tried multiple games now (IL-2, DCS A-10, rise of flight) and none seem to work correctly with the stick. Basically, unless i have the windows game controller config up, the stick is stuck centered, and is very difficult to move.  I have centering spring switched off, and have tried a few different profiles posted about the net for specific games.

The feedback does seem to work correctly in the windows setup page and the stick loosens up, but as soon as i close that it goes back to being center locked, even with all settings to 0% and FF being switched off.

It is on the latest firmware and all logitech software is up to date.  It does randomly work on FSX and wings of prey.

This is a User to User Forum. Logitech employees do respond sometimes, but you may get better results trying to call or email them.

Re: G940 issues

Had already tried that unfortunately, had to explain to the support guy what the G940 was.  Yeah that was helpful :smileysad:  Selling the thing off and buying the warthog.

Re: G940 issues

I bought my G940 about a year ago and there was a bad contact in the throttle causing an interference between the right throttle lever and R2. After x e-mails with support they finally asked me to send it back. I expected them to either repair it or exchange it. Instead they refunded me which means I lose the discount they had offered me as compensation for my having to scrap my Wingman wheel because it would not work any more under windows 7/64. Very disappointed with Logitech and looking at other flight systems now that I have to buy one again. Total loss is about 40 Euros for the lost discount and some 50 more Euros for the nice woden stands I had built for the throttle and joystick...
