I have a Windows PC with XP Service Pack 3
4GB RAM and 8 GB Paging File
AMD Sepron 3400+ that runs on 1800 MHZ
Sadly it has an Nvidia 6150 LE Graphics Card
Motherboard is an ASUS manufactered by Seagate
Computer Runs Core temp of 84F to 101F or 32C to 40C
CPU Runs at Stable Rate of around 80F or 26C
The Higher Temps indicate it under a full load of 100% Usage for 10 minutes.
I have a problem that started I guess with my Gameport Drivers today. I have a Logitech Dual Action USB which has worked just fine for the last 3 months. Then all of a sudden today when I turned on Xpadder it showed no profile for any devices. At first I thought maybe Xpadder was malfunctioning so I opened the Wingman and it told me I had no controllers installed. So I checked the USB port with my External HD and a Flash Drive, They worked Fine. So I went to Logitech's Site and can't find any information other than to try doing a Clean Start before installing the software so I did that and still no software can detect my controller anymore. I installed it on my old PC and it worked fine but the old one has only a 30GB HD and 256MB of RAM so it's not suitable for playing PC games. Then I tried to re-add the controller manually and I get an Error saying my Gameport or Gameport Drivers are not properly configured. I googled this Error and did as people said and checked the Device Manager, nothing shows up with an exclaimation mark. The problem seems to lie with the Gameport even though this is a USB controller that does not use the Gameport and I don't really think my PC even has a Gameport.Nothing spectacluar happened yesterday that I would believe caused this. I used the controller from about 7 am to 11 am yesterday just fine. I have checked my PC for Spyware Etc. incase something was interfering with the gameenum using Lavasoft's Adaware 2008, AVG 8.0.176, and UniBlue's Spyeraser Updated today, and Spybot 1.6.0.30 last updated on the 23rd. I clean my registry regularly using UniBlue's Registry Booster 2 and CCleaner and Defrag it using either Uniblue or Auslogics, I have never encountered problems of this type before and have been using all these products for 2 years.
I don't think the top info would be relevent to anyone but I have put it there just incase it does make a difference. I'd like to find the Microsoft Drivers for Download if I can rather than Reformatting because the Sims 2 and all 16 or so Expansions is a real pain to reinstall. If anyone knows where I could get help with these drivers if they are the problem please let me know.
Feel free to email me as well: ScorpioMaurus@sbcglobal.net
Sorry but I'm not really sure where to get help for this issue. Everything I googled with the same error either had no Replies or had answers that did not work like the Exclaimation mark in the Device Manager.
