Call them, say your error reference number and ask what's going on. I've done this at 02.03.2011 and they answered day after. After this, they sent few messages and last one, that UPS is going to pick up my gamepad, at 14.03.2011, so it takes some time on their side.
I guess calling them is best you can do.

Keep alive message ![]()
Will make a call then, but in the email is clearly stated: the gamepad can't be returned because I didn't buy it through he Logitech Web Store
. Did you buy it from Logitech's own Web Store?

No, I've bought it in some random online shop but... it seems that I was unable to get the money back too! Everything was set and ready, I've packed F510 and was waiting for UPS message about the currier arrival time.
3 Days ago I've finally got it, message said that "Currier is going to ship new gamepad to me and he is not going to take F510 away". It turned out that they've sent me RumblePad 2 for free, because it does not have dead zone problem. I've planned to buy this gamepad anyway, I guess I will sell F510 on ebay, plenty of people seem to enjoy it (go figure
).
I know my response is not too helpful, I've had no idea that they will send me a new gamepad.
I would report gamepad as faulty on guarantee (too big dead zone, and they stated that gamepads won't gave any significant on their blog). Then again, and again, until they will offer you another solution, even RumblePad 2.

Unbeliavable. F310 is the worst gamepad I've ever used. Racing games are uncontrollable with this thing. I've been playing racing games on the PC with the PS3 controller (using MotionJoy) and sometimes a Logitech wheel prior to this abomination. I'm going to return to best buy and tell them this is the worst gamepad I've ever used and I've been playing since the NES days. I never used an Xbox controller and I don't care. Have the testers played a racing game? Gran Turismo games would've been uncontrollable with this *thing.* I'm never buying a Logitech product again.

I agree, this F310 is completely unusable and a waste of money. I own a 360 Controller without any dead zones and will recommend them to anyone instead of Logitech products.

I am very disappointed with what I have read here about it being intended. I wonder if maybe during the testing period that the feedback that logitech recieved was perhaps missunderstood, or perhaps they missunderstood certain questions that you asked them if that was how it was done.
In any event I really can't see how this massive deadzone on what is already a limited range of movement could in anyway have been what most people were in favor of. I really don't think that its possible. If you use an actual playstation 3 controller for a game like GranTurismo 5 you can see just how it should be done as you can finely move the stick to turn corners accurately. But with this controller (F310) while playing any pc driving game like Grid or Dirt 2, you name it, there is no accuracy at all as its practicly an on or off toggle like a button because of the huge deadzone.
Perhaps technically speaking there really is a higher range of detection but that range is limited to only a very small portion of the sticks movement that, unless you have superhuman ability to move your thumb in such a precise way, its essentially no better then just using buttons to drive with.
The real sad thing is that Logitech practically has a monopoly on these gamepads so its hard to find anything else. And with out any real competition they have no incentive to make it better since the consumer is left with either buying their product or no product at all.
I actually did buy another gamepad for the playstation 3, not sure what make it is, and it seems to have the same problem. The only way I can play Gran Turismo 5 competitively is when I use the actual official playstation controller and thats frustrating.
