There is no way you can fix this by profiler, and you forgot that profiler does not work in XInput mode.

So this controller is a no-go for racing sims.... oh well. Not quite sure how you are suppose to steer a car around at 100+ mph with such a huge deadzone. I guess I will just stick with my Dual Action as it is flawless with rfactor, gtr evo, etc with about 50-60% steering speed sensitivity and ~20-25 degree steering lock set in sim... feels like I am controlling the car with my mind... blissful. F1 around Nordschleife... ahh yes.... So yeah I definitely hope the good ole Dual Action lasts a long time or at least until Logitech decides to "undo" this "feature"!
I wanted an upgrade with the analog triggers but maybe not for awhile...
I'm also not willing to buy a steering wheel as I am not that hardcore and I love laying on the couch to play but I love racing sims without arcade "invisible hand" physics (the kind of physics in Need for Speed games, even Shift1/2 and F1 2010/11 and especially... GRID.. yuck). I like to feel like I am remote controlling a REAL car in a REAL space... so I need ACCURACY. Perhaps the F series is good for arcade racers which hold your hand at every turn but honestly don't care about console stuff. The last console I bought was a Playstation 1. So please Logitech... don't try TOO hard to emulate the xbox 360 controller.... remember the PC crowd.... If I wanted an xbox then I'd buy an xbox (same with the controller)....

I had the exact same problem. my deadzones are fine but i just couldn't get 100% in the corners of my analg sticks.
here's my solution:

i wonder if i voided my warranty... oh wait that's right, i don't really care. ![]()
come on logitech. the thing was obviously made to have square holes. why am i forced to carve out the corners myself (on a brand new controller i might add) just to have full functionality? i still luv ya logitech, this one just hurt a little.

I actually bought my F310 for arcade racers like TDU2 (won't waste my G25 on them), but the people at Logitech never played something real world stuff with their controller crap. The shoulder triggers need to much force and the thumbsticks are totally useless in every game I tried.
I even can't use it as digital only controller (like PS1), because holding this wrongly designed junk leads to muscle strain. I think, they never ever gave a human this thing to test before putting it into production.
So please Logitech... don't try TOO hard to emulate the xbox 360 controller.... remember the PC crowd.... If I wanted an xbox then I'd buy an xbox (same with the controller)....
Oh, I bought a 360 controller (for PC) after that and it works excellent. It has a nice grip, almost no dead zones (!), the controls are placed perfectly right and you can play for hours without tiring your hands. If you need an XInput device, go for it!
It's a pity, I wasted 40 bucks on this Logitech crap.

let me sum up my experience timeline so far.
after going to my local computing hardware store and seeing the F510 sitting on the shelf for 35 euro with Xinput i though for sure it was going to be a **bleep** good controller.
i then came home and played some red faction armegeddon (auto aim) and was so happy. then i went to play call of duty black ops on high sensitivity. and just thought **bleep**... so i google how to fix f510 deadzone and find my way to this thread.
i then read through the whole thread... clearly this is a big issue for a lot of people and let me say to the people that said original xbox 360 controller users wont see the issue, ive always played xbox and have just built my gaming pc and switching from genuine xbox 360 controller to this.. retarded peice of trash is just a huge difference. obviously nothing is going to be done about this and charlesB doesnt seem to give a .... and is the person who put the rediculous deadzone on in the firstplace.
so all i have to say is after reading everyones individual issues with the useless customer support and a promised firmware update that was supossed to be release 2 months ago to fix the deadzone problem i can confidentialy say i will never spend another euro on a logitech product again. god im pissed the controllers already in the trash. im not even going to bother trying to refund.

I have the same point of view. Even a <10$ dealextreme controller does this job better. And now my Logitech G500 mouse broke, it had from the start a high pitch *bleep* noise, I am saved from the Logitech hell stuff in my house. Thank god.
However, I would still be very happy with a LITTLE firmware update which kills the deadzone and makes this a usable controller. Show me the opposite of my view Logitech.

Just bought this today before reading this thread and finding out about the defect they won't fix, I'm very disappointed. I've been buying Logitech stuff for 15+ years, guess I'll try another brand next time.

Some more official statement can be found on 3rd and 4th page of this thread - and nothing more since that... well, you are right
. I gave up on this problem.
