Hello to everyone here. Please, if I didn't post this topic in the right section, let me know. Thanks.
I have recently bought the G27 and I'm very happy with it. The problem is that I can't seem to find any game that really uses the whole potential of the wheel. And I'm not talking about the 900 degrees (Because usually in racing the wheel only turns 250 degrees or so), but more about the feeling. It's hard to explain, but I think most if you understand what I mean.
For example, I have played DiRT2, and alltho I wasn't a big fan of the series (after they change the name to DiRT) when playing with keyboard, I think it's a fantastic experience using the wheel and manual H shifter. The force feedback is awesome and changes acording to surfaces (very stiff on tarmac, very vibrating on sand or mud, etc). I'm talking about the overall feeling here.
Beside DiRT I have played games like Toca3, GRID, STCC and others and alltho I consider them good games I can't seem to get that special feeling about the wheel like when I'm playing DiRT2. Didn't tried DiRT3 on wheel but I heard it doesn't have H shifter support (that's a big step back, considering it's a sequel), so I'm not very eager to try it.
So I come here asking for games that respond very good to this wheel. If they have H Shifter support it's even better.
Please bear in mind I'm not asking about good racing games in general, just games that have some kind of a native support for this wheel.
thanks in advance. cheers!

I have tried Grid and Dirt2... And in my experience, I have to say that this two games are total peace of s*** when it comes to support and feel of using G27.
Why? First of all, same problem I have with these two games when using game controller; there is absolutely no way to precisely control your car; slightest movement of steering wheel turns in game cars wheels halfway through! So it turns out that you play with analog steering wheel like it's digital device; eider on or off; eider turn full, or don't turn...
Next thing that **bleep** about those games is H shifter... yes, you can map it... but what's use of that if games don't support clutch pedal???
Otherwise this two are fun, but buying G27 just for them is waste of money, when you can play them better with just keyboard...
I did try couple more games, but things are eider same or worse...
I haven't tryed latest Need For Speed, but I have seen reviews that have focused on drive feel, and they say it's better then other NFS games, but still arcade... They say that is apparent that main focus for controls was game controller, not steering wheel...
But it's not all black ![]()
ONLY game that I have found that supports ALL features of this steering wheel, and gives you EXCELLENT FEEL of driving is LIVE FOR SPEED (aka LFS).
You can download free demo and test it out. And full licence is just 24€.
Only downside of this game is that it lacks licensed cars and tracks... So you have just few "real" cars and all tracks are imaginary... But new version will be out soon, and they are announcing real tracks and real cars.
And it has great online play, where you can compete with other players.
If anybody has any other suggestion that is on par with physic, drive feel and support for G27 with LFS, but it also has licensed cars and tracks, please share it with us ![]()
