Several years ago it came to my attention that the G15 v1 was happily resistant to hibernation, sleep or standby.
It showed no problems what so ever, until the software update showed up with version number "1.03.193".
Today's software seems to be riddled with bullets and cannot support any of the sleep-modes. This poses a problem.
Next to that given problem, after resuming from hibernation/sleep or standby, all my Logitech hardware, except for my mice, need to be unplugged and the computer needs to be restarted. After the computer restarted without the Logitech stuff, I can then plug them back in and they usually work again.
This poses a huge problem, as hibernation is something I use on a daily basis and I simply cannot leave the computer on all day just because the programmers screwed something up in an update and found out their software would have to be totally rewritten in order to show us this flashy new perfectly aligned design menu that takes up 4 seconds to even pop-up.
This problem totally kills the use of my computer. Also, going back to a previous update kills the use of my headset, so that's locked out for me as well.
The REAL problem is that supporting hibernation is as simple as putting good programmers to work .
I've already understood Logitech's official reply to this problem that their company "simply doesn't support hibernation" or any form of sleep and their hardware "therefore should not be put in hibernation".
This explanation is not anywhere close to what customers want to hear and it's almost as if Logitech simply doesn't care because the money also rolls in as easily as it did before. I feel scammed.
My main question is actually: "Why?".
