I have the same problem with the Wireless Gamepad F710.
The game I'm playing, Assassin's Creed Revelations, supports Xinput so I had to get a controller emulator for customizing the buttons layout. When in Xinput mode the LT and RT wont work as normal buttons. Everything else I could change the way I wanted but how can I make the LT and RT work as normal (digital?) buttons instead of an axis-based (analog?) buttons in Xinput mode?
The game doesn't fully support Directinput, meaning that I can customize the buttons layout however I want and use them without a problem, but the UI of the game is all messed up when using Directinput.
Love your gear, Logitech. I have your MX518, two K120's and S-150's speakers.

Alright, I got it to work the way I wanted to by using the emulator in Directinput mode so then the triggers were recognized as buttons instead of axes.
So just switch you controller to Direcinput mode and start up the logitech profiler as well. Then start up the Emulator and reassign all the buttons the way you want. Then copy the .ini and .dll file the emulator gives you after you have saved the buttons layout you want and paste the files to where your game is.
Essentially, if I understood correctly, you use the game-pad on directinput mode but the files that the emulator produces makes the game think that you are using the controller in Xinput mode, so it supports it correctly.

I think it's tied to the Directinput mode so that Directinput wont work when the profiler isn't on. That was the case for me, at least.
It just has to be on, you dont have to do anything with it. Remap your buttons with the Emulator.
