Yes, this is know issue in BF3 . The game is not letting to use 3 devices with LGS. Try to change ID on the throttle to ID 2 and set it in the profiler as you can see in the tutorial's picture for FSX . 

Maybe it will help.

There is no way around so far for that. BF3 is not really a 100% simulator game.

Just got my replacement stick (G940) and using this Tutorial has really helped. I fly mainly choppers in FSX and I love my 94O

So there's no way someone who already has this set up in FSX can send me the config file so that I can just install it in my FSX and not have to go through the pain of setting this up manually?  Call me spoiled but this is the year 2012; I was promised flying cars by now, but all I want is a plug n' play config file so I don't need to manually set this thing up in FSX.  

Any ideas?

Hello to all,

first of all I apologize for my English, it's not my primary language.

I want to share my experience with my new G940 in order to understand how to fix the issues I noticed.

I use FSX and other flight sims like Falcon BMS. The behaviors I'm going to describe applies to both games, so I think they're not related to the games theirselves.

My o.s. is Win7 64 bit HP.

1. I tried to configure the G940 following your tutorial (e.g. deleting all keys assignments) and another time without delete anything but the joystick assignments. I noticed no differences. Just a lot of time to write down the default keys and restore them after. EDIT: I don't see any difference about the settings of the mode (1-2-3). It works the same in any condition.

2. I don't understand how the force feedback settings works. There are 3 ways to set it up:

a) global settings from profiler

b) game related settings from profiler 

c) in-game settings (from FSX, F4, etc...)

I have a lot of questions about this topic but at the moment I'd like to ask one single.

I disabled the FF in *all* 3 points above and I experience the following behavior:

- when no game is running the stick is hard to move, like the FF is still enabled.

- entering in the game leads to free the stick, but moving around I feel it's not very fluid (like when the joy is disconnected) and sometimes it "moves by itself" very quickly, hopping here and there.

The fw version is 1.41, I'm going to update to 1.42 in the meanwhile.

How do you go about removing the programmable buttons on the G940 so you can put the labels inside them ?

Unfortunately I think that Logi have blown all their credibility out of the water due to the reversal bug and the wire issues in the throttle. As there hasn't been any positive news about these for a long time my conclusion is they have abandoned the G940 which is a shame as potentially it was a must buy for flight simmers. Even if they brought out a super quality improved version of the 940 no-one would believe them
