In 5.08 in IL-2, the forces would not correctly go limp if starting a mission on the ground.
As soon as one lifts the tail off the ground during take-off, it would start working correctly. Otherwise it would correctly go limp when landing etc. Very cool stuff. I love the loose controls when flying slow, flaps and landing gear down.
As for 5.09, I have not had the chance to test yet.

@ MikkOwl:
well, the feel from 5.08 is gone for me. It seems that some of the changes they made in frimware/ and or driver interfered with that.
I liked it when, as you said it kicked in when you got airborne. Now you have the same force applied to the stick all the time. This is a pitty but overall I'm happy with the update. It added a lot of different setting I havn't even tried to begin fiddling with.
To be honest I've had so much work to do lately so I havn't had the time to test
. Even had no time to fiddle with your excellent little program for the 940.
Ah well, vacation is here so perhaps a wee bit more time at the controls could be achieved.
all the best

@hreich
For DCS-BS you'll need to create two .bat files in the root of your game directory, which (for example) you can name dcs-single.bat and dcs-multi.bat. Open notepad to create each one of them separately and put in the lines listed below. Note that you'll need to edit the text between the brackets in the second line, so it corresponds with the folder you've installed DCS-BS in. (My line reads: set path=e:\games\Black Shark\Blackshark;e:\games\Black Shark\bin\x86\stable).
Single player:
@echo off
set path=[drive]\[game folder]\Blackshark;[drive]\[game folder]\bin\x86\stable
launcher.exe --console
Multi player:
@echo off
set path=[drive]\[game folder]\Blackshark;[drive]\[game folder]\bin\x86\stable
simulator.exe --net gui
After you've saved the text in the files as .bat files, you can launch them either directly or point to them from the Logitech Profiler. The latter method makes sure your personal profile is loaded on startup. Again, you'll need to create separate profiles for both single and multi-player. (As each will point to a separate .bat file). For Flaming Cliffs 2, you'll need to do the same. I don't own that game though, so I don't know it's specific file-structure.

My G940 has disappointed me. In that it continually inputs an unauthorized and uncontrollable right hand roll into EVER airframe I have tried in Microsoft flight sim and IL2. There appears to be no way I can remove this control flaw and its driving me mad.
It was a wonderful Christmas present that is ruined by the problem. I have tried to contact Logitech but have received no reply or help. Can anyone tell me what's going on and how to correct the control error.
Please.

Hi Kev101. Two things come to mind:
1. Is your G940 calibrated correctly? e.g.: is the tendency to move to the right also visible in the configuration menu?
If yes: does the problem go away when you re-configure the stick?
If no (no anomalies show in the configuration menu):
2. Have you assigned the TRIM2-button on the base of the stick to the aileron-trimming option? If I recall correctly, both games allow this button to be assigned to such a function. Once this is done, slightly move the TRIM2-button to the left during flight. This should flatten out your roll.

I am very disappointed with the 509 software. It has totally caused problems with my G25 wheel. I am a member of Iracing, and am constantly having to re-calibrate my wheel, in the simulation. If I join a race, TT, qualify, or practice server, if I don't calibrate there is a possibility of the wheel changing it's center during a session. This is a big problem during a race session, as it can cause handling problems! I never had problems with version 508. When I try to un-install 509 and re- install 508, I get a blue screen when I plug the G25 in. All this is because I wasted $300 on a G940. Will Logitech ever provide software that will make it work correctly? CH hardware may not be FFB, but it always works.

Hello Logitech,
I would personally appreciate the following statement in full or in part:
1- We´re aware that the Reversal Bug exists and is not solved in 5.09 or by Histeresis control.
2- We´re aware that it affects all analog axis
3- We´re aware it affects the Joystick as well
4- It can be solved by software/firmware
5- It will be solved in a subsequent controller software/firmware release
You have to understand that the lack of clarification on your part leads to enormous frustration for us who trust you but need to keep up the hope.
Please understand I cannot fully enjoy the hardware I bought with my hard earned money.
Thank you
