Request for all Logitech rumble gamepad F510 users (Test your vibration as I say)

[ Edited ]

Hi everyone,

I need urgent help from all logitech users out there. I have just purchased Logitech F510. I must say it is an excellent controller but I have a doubt that there is a manufacturing problem with its vibration motors. I just want to make sure whether the controller is designed this way or I am having this issue only.

To test this please do the following steps:

1. Switch the controller to direct input mode.
2. Go to control panel.
3. Locate your controller in devices and and right click it and select "game controller settings".
4. A dialog box will appear. Click on properties.
5. Now press button 'RB' (it will spin the right motor). After that press button 'Y'( it will spin the left motor).

I observed a the difference in 5th step. Right motor spins, but fails to vibrate the controller the way left motor does.

If same happens with everyone then I have no worries otherwise I need to claim warranty and replace my controller with a new one.

Regards,

Awais (personal information edited out)

Re: Request for all Logitech rumble gamepad F510 users (Test your vibration as I say)

i have exactly same issue as you. Right motor produces less vibration than left. Hopefully nothing is wrong with our gamepads, just need some adjusting or maybe that's how it's meant to work. when light vibration is needed only right motor will work and large explosions left one would.

Hopefully there are software settings that would let me adjust (inccrease) the strength of vibration on the F510.  I'm used to PS3 dualshock and the rumble/vibtation on the dualshock controllers is so much better (stronger and feels natural) than the gamepad.

I've only received the gamepad yesterday, so this weekend hopefully i'll find some solution.

I tried what you suggested but as far as I can tell nothing happens and according to the manual nothing is supposed to unless in the Xinput Mode unless you pres both the Vibrate button and the RB and or Y also I dont have software all I've got is the Windows 7 Drivers for Xinput- I didnt get software with mine and the Download links here arent working...
