Re: Wireless Gamepad F710 losing connection

hahaha, taping the receiver to the controller just to fix the disconnects.

I can't believe Logitech STILL hasn't fixed this issue and are simple ignoring the people here.

I got my F710 replaced by an F510 (wired version) and haven't looked back.

The F710 is broken and should not be sold.

Yeah I know right. I didn't buy my controller so I can't really complain though.

Re: Wireless Gamepad F710 losing connection

I've noticed that the F710 in stores now has a different design than what I bought. Maybe it's fixed now, but who knows? I'm using Microsoft now.

Scratch that. It was actually an older Logitech model. The store doesn't support F710 anymore.

Re: Wireless Gamepad F710 losing connection

Hello. Same problem too.

It happens more frequently when several buttons pressed at the same time. For example, playin Assasin`s Creed-2. When I get busted by a guards and running away, fighting, turning camera around searching for a hideout - and THAT`s when gamepad losing connection! Camera just keep turning around a character and I can`t stop it, need to press another button and wait till F710 wakes up. Obviously problem is in nano-receiver, as when i moved it in direct visibility zone it`s gets slightly better.

I have also an old Cordless Rumblepad-2 - this one is perfect. It works EVEN in another room. Never had any problems with it.

So I thought, what if i`ll try to connect F710 to an old big receiver from Cordless Rumblepad-2 with a Connection utility? If it will work, then i could just buy another normal-sized receiver from Logitech Support. But if it will not work, then i can lose connection to an old gamepad forever??? Oh...

Nope. Just tried, it doesnt work. Receiver from Rumblepad-2 does not see F710. Tried 5+7 buttons trick and 6+8, and connection utility, and pushing connect button on the receiver - all useless.

The only way to make F710 working properly is to put receiver really close: 30-40cm. Or sticking directly to controller, as Lumix offered at previous page.

I cant believe nobody sees a problem. Try to pass a race in Assassin`s Creed where you need to press 3 keys at the same time to run, plus turning camera plus turning a hero - and here it locks, so you just falling down from the roof and race is lost.

Well, ended up putting extension wire around me. Feels like I`m Ghost in the Shell. :robotwink:

Re: Wireless Gamepad F710 losing connection

i've lodged an issue with customer support, but i'm not holding my breath for a solution.

i wish i'd bought the microsoft controller instead.

i wont be buying logitech devices again.

I'd also like to express my dissapointment in this product. I've been using Logitech gamepads for 5+ years in place of a mouse because they relieve my RSI symptoms so well. I recently decided to upgrade to the F710 after my Cordless Rumblepad 2's left stick broke and as soon as it arrived I experienced the disconnection issues described above.

I've tried using the logitech reconnect utility, a different PC and laptop, resetting the gamepad, using the extension, using the device in both modes, and using a different controller binding program (xpadder) to get rid of the issues but nothing has worked. I really wish Logitech would just offer a fixed receiver or at least acknowledge the issues with this product. I feel like the company I've respected for so long has just betrayed its loyal customers by offering a low quality product. I'll give this gamepad another 2 weeks before I send it back for a refund.
