Driving Force GT 900-200 degrees switch on GT5 pro?

Hi,

I'm about to get a Driving Force GT and GT5 prologue for Christmas, and I wanted to know if you could switch from 900 to 200 degrees steering with the wheel in GT5:smileytongue:.

I know that on the DF Pro there is a button combination that switches it from 900 to 200 degrees, but I read on the gtplanet forums that the same combination doesn't work for the DF GT, and that there isn't an option to change it within GT5p.

Its just a minor issue - i'll be getting the wheel anyway- but I would be very grateful if someone could confirm this for me.

thanks

The Driving Force Pro doesn't use the same type of technology when it comes to locking the rotational range at the Driving Force GT, so we had to take that feature out. The Driving Force GT now relies on the communication it gets from the game to set the rotation of the wheel (I will check around and see if there are any solutions that I don't know about though).

Thanks for getting back to me.

Seems like Polyphony Digital and the other developers will have to implement the ability to switch in the software then.  Its a useful feature as if you're driving a racing / F1 type car it doesn't make sense having the full 900 degree lock on the wheel.

True, but that's an in-game setting, so if the game developer chooses to use 200 degrees, then the wheel will lock to that.

Hello, obviously by now you got to gather more info, hopefully, I have a question though, when the GT Pro "locks according to game sofware", do you mean physically lock, like stop turning, or just turn like 200 degrees for example then go on if you pushed it but not affecting the game ???

Thanks :smileyhappy:
