For right now, you can't program any of the buttons on the G27 with the PS3. I would think you would be able too in the future, it's really going to be up to the game programmers. I'm not sure what you mean by the PS button, explain.

Hi thanx, looks that way. The PS Button is the one between start and select buttons on standard controller. The one that I can toggle back to XML Menu to say check messages etc.

Hi all, just noticed this thread and wanted to add some input for anyone who finds it in the future.
Previous comment was right about the Logitech Gaming Software disc, it is only for PC. It allows you to setup game profiles in Windows and modify settings for compatibility. If you have a PC, I have step-by-step setup directions at solidlystated.com, including game settings for Burnout and Shift, among others.
I know that GT5 Prologue PS3 is compatible with G27 and the h-shifter. Paddles are not supported.
Here is the compatibility list from Logitech for both PC and PS3: Official Compatibility List. - it has no 'last updated' date on it though.
The G27s Logitech liason on this board seems to be CharlesB. He and the Logitech folks have been testing out the wheel with the PS3, and he has also stated the following for PS3:
make sure your G27 is assigned as Controller 1. This means that either:
Start up the PS3 using the button on the console, then use the wheel to control the PS3 before a controller
or
Press the PS button once in game and change the controller assignments there. If your wheel is Controller 2, and your PS3 gamepad is controller 1, simply press the PS button on the gamepad, and put that in controller port 2. That will force the wheel to be controller 1.
(in regards to GT5 degrees of rotation) - That's something that the people at Polyphony will have to tackle. The game developers are the ones that control how it works on a console. Polyphony is known to fret the details, so let's wait and see how the final version of GT5 rolls out.
(in regards to setting up GT5 H-Shifter) - At the beginning of a race, pause, then press triangle (I believe). The H-Gate shifter mode was added at the very last instant as an undocumented feature by the Gran Turismo team.
(in regards to Midnight Club LA options being greyed out ) - We can't always make 3rd party developers support our product. We do all that we can, and in fact have engineers who are supposed to help 3rd party companies if they have difficulty with our products. But, not everyone adds support; especially in the more arcadey racers.
We do not have the ability to reach into the game and make alterations. The game developers would be the one to add the support in. We are willing to help game developers on the PS3 take as much advantage of our products as possible.
Supercar Challenge - This game also has problems utilizing the paddle shifters. In the control options you can enable manual transmission and when you do it indicates shifting is on the paddles but in-game, like Midnight Club LA, the H shifter is the only method working.
ALSO-
It appears that Disney's brand new Split Second does not fully support the G27 OR the Driving Force GT. I have verified that the PC VERSION of the game will allow you to steer and use the pedals, but there is no force feedback.
I hope this helps some people!

Good Info, thank you! I can verify that "Split Second" does not support either wheel, nor does "Blur". This is disappointing. I had read elsewhere (non-official sources and prior to their release) that both would be supported. This is sadly not true. I would not have purchased either game if I had known they would not be supported.
On a positive note, "Need for Speed: Shift" and "Dirt 2" are both a joy to play on my Logitech GT Wheel.
Does anyone know if "ModNation Racers" works with our wheels? Are there any good racing games (other than GT5) that we have to look forward to?
Thanks,
Marc

Well, I would prefer A LOT to have - in NFS
- even the whel buttons working properly (for nitro and handbrake) and... the famous leds...
It's incredible that, up to know, doesn't exist a single PS3 game supporting our wheel at its full!!! Logitech, pls be more 'convincing' in pushing game developers. I'm sure that any people having a G27 would run and buy (almost) whatever game supporting his nice wheel at its maximum! (me, for sure).
