Re: G27 Problem

I just got mine for Christmas and didn't have any problems with GT5 prologue or the GT5 TT, but when I tried GT4 the wheel didn't work until I turned off my controller and just used the wheel to get around.  I know this probably doesn't help but it can't hurt to give it a try.  Good luck to everyone.

Re: G27 Problem

Hi everyone

I try everything possible so I took the wheel to an game store here in my city ( the best and most reliable in town - I'm in Brazil). They said it was a pc board component failure - they replace it for US$50 - the wheel is working ok now .the technititan said it was the 5th one they fixed in the past 60 days  - In other words this wheel is coming out of the factory with a lot of problems!

check your assembling line Logitech!

Re: G27 Problem

LOADRITE - If the store fixed something on the mainboard, then probably what happened was the voltage protection diode was thrown. This means there was a voltage spike somewhere. Did you have the AC adapter plugged directly into the wall? (It's one of many possibilities: another is that a very large ESD should have been sent across the ground of the unit). Was your unit within it's first year of use? It would still be under warranty.

lm99 - Have you tried calling customer support?

Re: G27 Problem

My wheel will stop working while playing any game and it will recognize and work for a while. All other features stay working fine. Some times wheel will not restart. I have to unplug USB or restart PC. ( windows 7 64bit) Any problems like this? Do not have PS3.

Re: G27 Problem

CharlesB

thanks so much for your enlightening response to all of these desperate logitech customers cries for help. I just got the wheel delivered yesterday much to my excitement. When I first connected the wheel it rotated all the way in each direction and then centered itself ready for play.I used it all last night and it worked great. I got home for work excited to play only to find that i was having the same problems as everyone else on this forum. I am a pc user and when i powered up today the wheel just sat there like a dead stick. I went to the re-calibration menu to find that the wheel axis was not being seen but all of the buttons (paddle shifters and the six buttons on the wheel) were. I went to logitech.com only to find the same thing that everone else was trying to convey you and that is there isnt any troubleshooting help on your trouble shooting page!  after going through my device manager, and re-installing the software to no avail i wound up here only to find your short, smug, and belitting post. i will never puchase another product from logitech as a direct result of reading it. the first step to fixing a problem is to acknowledge that there is one, a step you chose not to take. not usually what the consumer wants to see after shelling out 250 dollars i might add by the way Charles. so i am off to return your defective product tomorrow and will patronize your competetor.good job! hope your boss reads this and cuts you loose! when your customer logs on with the user name "annoyed" only to find that the name is already taken, youy know you've got problems!
