Gran Turismo 4 running on PS3 with G25 wheel

I have a PS3 and G25 wheel which works fine with GT5 proglogue but when I run GT4 the wheel does not respond.  Is there any special setup I need for GT4 to recognize the wheel whilst running on PS3?  Thanks in advance for any help!
