Noted G-27 compatibility issues with specific PS3 games

We've been doing some testing on PS3 games with the G27, and we noticed that not all games play 100% correct with it. I'll be updating this post with the most recent QA results as they come in:

Midnight Club Los Angeles - Paddle shifters do not work while racing.

Supercar Challenge - This game also has problems utilizing the paddle shifters.  In the control options you can enable manual transmission and when you do it indicates shifting is on the paddles but in-game, like Midnight Club LA, the H shifter is the only method working.

How do I set up Need for Speed Shift and GT5 Prologue to use Logitech G27 racing Wheel on the PS3?

Re: Noted G-27 compatibility issues with specific PS3 games

Hi, I have a G27 for about a week now. In race driver grid on ps3 the wheel has a really weird ffb. the problem shows up when I turn up the force weight (wheel weight) more then 30%. I also have a driving force gt and on that wheel it works great even if I turn the force weight up to 80%. If I turn down the force weight then the car will be unplayable, because it will feels too light. please fix this problem.

If u want to test it, then try the game with the dfgt and then with the g27. U will get what I am trying to tell here.

Regards,

Hany

No real setup needed, just make sure everything is connected on the G27 before game startup.  The Green LED on the shifter should be lit.

It calibrates on startup once plugged into the PS3.

Re: Noted G-27 compatibility issues with specific PS3 games

Also, make sure your G27 is assigned as Controller 1. This means that either:

Start up the PS3 using the button on the console, then use the wheel to control the PS3 before a controller

or

Press the PS button once in game and change the controller assignments there. If your wheel is Controller 2, and your PS3 gamepad is controller 1, simply press the PS button on the gamepad, and put that in controller port 2. That will force the wheel to be controller 1.

Hany - Each game gives it's feedback effects differently. Try a road game, like Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (Or use the free GT5 demo) and see how that feels.
