PS3 DiNovo Mini the ultimate compact keyboard but not found through Google!!

I was very fortunate to see this product on the shelf in Future Shop AND take the time to read the fine print at the bottom of the box.  NO WHERE else does it state this product is compatible with the PS3, not on the front, not on the side and not in the name!!!

I was actually looking for the DiNovo Edge because that's all that came up with a Google search for "PS3 Keyboard Logitech".

The DiNovo Mini is the perfect keyboard for the PS3 and your living room.  I'm sure they would sell a LOT MORE of them and help reduce the price if they added "PS3" to the name of the product or at least note it on the front of the box!

Someone put a lot of thought into making this product.  Dual modes, backlight keys with dual colours, touch pad, hinge cover the turns the unit on and off. I believe there is a huge demand for a quality product such as this.

*Remember, this was my idea, so when they finally do some of these changes and make a fortune, be sure to send me a thank you gift.*  :smileyhappy:

Hi Mits:

Thank you for your enthusiasm for Logitech products, and in particular the DiNovo Mini.  I will be sure to forward your comment to the appropriate teams.

Not really [WAS: Re: PS3 DiNovo Mini the ultimate compact keyboard but not found through Google!!]

I think the level of marketing applied to the Mini with respect to PS3 control is about right - don't oversell.  I have this product and use it with my PS3 and I like it well enough to keep using it for that purpose, but it's far from perfect.  It doesn't have any of the standard PS3 (or any PS for that matter) controls (triangle, X, circle, square) and so you still need to keep either the SixAxis controller or PS3 remote on hand.  Seems to kind of defeat the purpose and works against the general logic of Logitech devices (more functions available through single input device).

It actually does have three of the four standard PS3 controls (in Media Remote Mode).

The X is simply the Enter key or any of the two OK buttons.

The Triangle is FN+OK (on the left side).

The Cirlce is FN+Tab   (ESC).

The PS Home button is the Windows key.

Download the DiNovo Mini PS3 user manual for more info.

Yes, you're right.  To clarify: What I meant was that the functions don't exist as separate buttons.  Probably just me, but I don't use the thing enough to remember FN+* combos.  Also, some of the buttons I would use on the remote while browsing via the PS3 (to zoom, for example) don't appear to be available at all.
