the kids and wife love american idol encore addition for the ps3. we have had for several months and now the mic does not work in the game. we can set the mic up in the ps3 set-up menu but when the game is started a message appears asking for a usb mic to be plugged in. i have tried thre other ports with no success, any suggestions??

Try plugging it into a PC: If it's not detected by the computer, it's likely that the cable got piched or tugged a bit hard and might have gotten broken. Contact our phone support and see what they can do for you

connected to the pc and it works perfectly!   i have contact sony and that seems to be the problem..   it works now and then on the ps3. konami gave me no support. any suggestions on ttesting the ps3 ?

It registers fine on the PC? Can you use the audio record utility in the accessories panel and see if you can record sound?

i also need help. my mother purchased the mic for me for guitar hero world tour and it is saying it cant read the mic? Is it not comapatible with this game b/c the guy at GameStop swore up and down that it was. please help.
