PlayStation 2 (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)

I have the X-2D11 Cordless Action Controller for Playstation 2. My controller conects to the reciver and the recivers LED responds accordingly to me pressing the buttons, the problem is that nothing happens when I press the buttons. I press them and the reciver shows that I'm pressing them but nothing happens as far as consle control. My Playstation 2 is a SCPH-50001 with a hard drive if that makes any difference. I have tryed fresh batterys and resyncing the controler many times but there is no change. Please help.
