PlayStation 2 (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)

I just bought one of the wheels got it plugged in but it will only work in the Options screen. As soon as I go into the garage, the main screen or a race it does not respond at all. Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a setting that I missed? I tried to configure the wheel in the options screen but still no response outside of the options screen.

Any ideas?

Ok after a few restarts it finally works.
