Re: Logitech G-X2D11 problems

I am having the same problem.  I received two of the Logitech G-X2D11 controllers as a gift a couple of years ago.  I had only had them for a couple of months and the right analog stick had gotten stuck on both contollers.  Strangest part is that both happened over night, obviously not the same night, but it didn't begin while in use.  Then I moved and never got around to doing anything with them.  Well I just dug them out of a box that had my PS2 box in it and found the controllers.  I hooked them up trying to remember exactly what was wrong with what.  Both right analog sticks.  Example:  while playing GTA:smileyfrustrated:an Andreas my view keeps spinning to the right and when I push left it just stops spinning, but will not go left.  I have to hold it to the left to keep the screen from spinning.  One controller, along with the right analog problem has a problem with the left analog stick stuck forward and right: CJ on San Andreas is always running forward and to the right while the screen spins to the right.  It will make you dizzy.  Any ideas to these problems, like maybe a cause and solution, you know, besides buying new controllers.  I honestly wasn't that impressed. For the price of these controllers (which was right after they came out) they sure went through alot of batteries.  They are nice, don't get me wrong, but the batteries didn't last long at all, that and the problems I had with them.  Sorry this is so long, I just wanted to make sure it was all out there so there wouldn't be any confusion about anything.  I appreciate any information I can get.  Thanks.

Re: Logitech G-X2D11 problems

Logitech tech support consists of just telling you to reboot the PS2 and cross your fingers. However, here's a method that has supposedly worked for people. Basically, you have to re-calibrate the controller. Here's how:

Question: How do I re-calibrate the Logitech Cordless Action Controller for PlayStation®2?
Answer: 1. Remove one battery.
2. Hold the L1 and L2 buttons while re-inserting the battery. (NOTE: Do not touch or move the mini-joysticks at all during this time. It is very important that the mini joysticks are allowed to center themselves during this step or the calibration procedure will not be successful.)

The joystick should be re-calibrated. I've never tried it, but it supposedly works.

Holy crap!!!!   MJFOXTROT you are my (word filter evasion) hero.   That does work.  I've had these two conrtollers forever and haven't been able to use them for years but didn't want to throw them out.  Thanks to you I can use them again.  Thank you very much for your input and your answer.                                                       SWEET!
