Hi Logitech,
I currently own a QuickCall box and the Quickcam 5000. Prior to purchasing the Quickcam 5000, I was using the Quickcall without any of your specialised drivers / software on my MS Windows Vista laptop. During that time, when I accessed the properties of the device via:
For the speaker
*right click speaker icon on task bar* > "Playback Devices" > *openning properties on the USB VOIP decide*
For the mic
*right click speaker icon on task bar* > "Recording Devices" > *openning properties on the USB VOIP decide*
There appeared a [Advanced] tab which allowed me to modify the "default format". I would use this to ensure that both the speaker and mic are operating at their optimum hardware specification.
Now since purchasing the Quickcam 5000 Pro, I have been required to install QuickCall software, which I downloaded from the website. This as far as I can see has made some changes to my QuickCall drivers also most likely, ans has since disabled the [Advanced] tab. Is there anyway of getting the tab back, or is the device at least operating at the higher specification? (there were at least 2 specification for each the speaker and mic devices)
Also, is there any benefit of installing the CallCentral software at this point in time, since I already have QuickCall software?
