Hello,
I know the QuickCall isn't officially supported on OS X, but is there anyway to get even the basic functions to work? I tried plugging it into a friend's Mac, and it is detected as a Speakerphone, but is listed as "(disabled)". I mean, it is detected, it is identified properly... Just give us the ability to enable it.
(To be more specific, it is detected by 10.4.8, and listed under the USB hardware listing as "Speakerphone(disabled)". There appears to be no way to enable it.)
Thanks,
Brandon

Hi xbkingx,
At this point of time, the Logitech® QuickCall™ USB Speakerphone is only supported in Windows XP and Windows 2000. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Is there a timetable for supporting Mac with this (or other?) USB Speakerphone.
Or are there third party drivers available?
We really like the quality of this phone for our HQ & remote offices, but many of our users are Mac only.
Thank you!

The very least that Logitech could do (because it seems pretty unwilling most of the time to develop OS X drivers) is to release the technical specifications so that drivers could be written to make their equipment operational. Either that or hire two OS X programmers to be dedicated to developing the drivers.
It really burns me when there is good hardware out there and a company decides to look the other way in supporting other popular operating systems. Just the same that Logitech won't develop Linux drivers for many of their products too.

I mostly agree. I am not a Mac person, and one of the things I like about Logitech is that they are the most "Mac-like" peripheral developers out there. Have you SEEN some of the junk other companies put out? (I have - I do reviews of tech items for a website!) I seriously look forward to Logitech product announcements.
However, the sad reality is that MacOS has 5% of the market, and the financial justification probably isn't there. It's not just driver support, but differences in design specifications, marketing, shipping/product placement, support staff, etc. The last thing you want to do is release a product that has minimal support for one OS you don't care too much about, and robust support for another which you do. If I, as a PC owner, decide I want to buy the Logitech Super-Mega Happy Fun Time Mouse, and find your review, as a Mac user, blasting it for not delivering the goods, then it does them little good. Also, opening up the drivers would benefit competition, so again, not in a company's best interest.
I guess the best option would be to spin off a small Mac-only peripheral company, which could dedicate the time and money without hurting the mothership. That way, if/when Mac OS gains significant market share, they can be reabsorbed (or jettisoned if that whole silly iEverything haven collapses (j/k)).
Just my $.02
(btw-Am I the only one that finds it funny that the forum spell checker doesn't recognize the company name?)

Thanks for your feedback xbkingx. I will forward your suggestion to the relevant department within Logitech.
