Hi,
I'm thinking of purchasing this unit for use as a general voice recorder (for a large group of people) and for VoIP (Skype and MSN Live Messenger) however the only "reviews" I've found have been rather negative.
This user finds that the recorded audio isn't very clear and sounds like he/she's "standing in a **bleep** international airport".

On the other hand, this user finds that the "device picked up all parties around the table clearly" but found that if both parties tried to talk at the same time, the mic and/or software intermittently cuts out.

I've tried the Andrea Superbeam array microphone with the USB adapter and found that if you're within 0.5m and are in-front of the array, the audio is crystal clear and as good as a headset. However this is a more expensive unit and it's a lot harder for me to purchase (since I'm not in the US). The Superbeam is also highly directional so it doesn't work well at recording a group of people around the table.
So can anyone share their experiences with the QuickCall? Based on the two user opinions, I'm hesitant to purchase it.
