I just bought the Handset. It's a great device, but I have one problem:
*All incoming calls(from other Skype users) I receive(in Skype) are not redirected to the Handset. Every time if someone calls I simply don't hear it.
*There are NO indications on the Handset that Skype is receiving a call. It just stays on the menu screen. The phone doesn't ring at all. If someone calls(I see it on my PC) and when I do pick up (on the handset) I just get a dial tone.
Things I tried:
* Re-installing the software(both version 1.8.0 and 1.9.1, I am currently using v1.8.0).
* Tweaking with the voice options in the control panel(useless, because I can make SkypeOUT calls).
* Resetting the Handset.
None of these actions worked.
I installed the software on the CD. I also made sure Skype allows the LOGI_HDS.exe program.
NOTE: I am able to make SkypeOUT calls and access my contacts from the Handset it self. The base is installed correctly, otherwise I would not be making SkypeOUT calls.
Skype version: 3.8.0.115
OS: Windows XP SP2
S/N: AC709 0833-UN

Mike,
I installed the software, but it doesn't recognize the base station/handset. The base station/handset can't connect with Skype(v3.8.0.115) without the original 'Logitech Internet Handset' software. Skype also doesn't ask permission for 'CallCentral' to use it. I think CallCentral doesn't support Skype and the handset.

Mike,
I think the problem is more complicated than just 'install the latest software'. I have been e-mailing the Dutch Costumer Support for the last few days now. Unfortunately none of their advice has helped (yet). I am going to test the device on a different PC.
