Re: QuickCall USB Speakerphone & Windows Live Messenger?

What is the situation regarding Windows Live Messenger 9 months later? Will it work or not now? Does it only work with those stated applications? Or is it only guaranteed to work with the stated applications? Or do you not know?

Easy question really. No need to be evasive.

Also, is this still a current product?

Re: QuickCall USB Speakerphone & Windows Live Messenger?

Thanks for the quick response!

Are there any plans for this product to work with Windows Live Messenger? I just purchased this from , and the resident "Geek" claimed it would work. I like the echo cancellation feature and am bummed to need to return it.

If not, can you suggest another product that would work? I'm making video calls from one group to another. A headset it not a viable option. We tried Yahoo! Messenger before, and it didn't work well for us at the time with video calls. BTW, the QuickCam is working great, but the cam's mic pics up the speakers too much.

Thanks,

Sorry for the late reply and we don't have  any information on whether it would be supported in  Windows Live Messenger. We only have the headphone with microphone or Desktop microphones if you don't wanbt to use the in built mic for your system.

Re: QuickCall USB Speakerphone & Windows Live Messenger?

I just recieved the update for Call central, and now it does not support Skype. Is this issue going to be resolved soon? I may as well revert back to the old version if that is the case.

Re: QuickCall USB Speakerphone & Windows Live Messenger?

Sorry for being a pain, but the previous CallCentral version worked perfectly with Skype and the product also said on the box that it was Skype Certified. It was working perfectly in sync with Skype until the last update, not so long ago.

Re: QuickCall USB Speakerphone & Windows Live Messenger?

Hi,
You can use the QuickCall USB Speakerphone with most voice chat programs. The issue would be that some of the feature keys on the Speakerphone did not work. I have used it with Google Talk, an application not on the list of tested ones.
As long as Windows recognizes the device as having a speaker and mic, it should work. You may need to install the Call Central software to configure the mic, depending on your Operating System.
Thank you for your post.
