Hi, I've just got this logitech speakerphone from a web-reseller, and now find that it says on the box "for Skype calls" and in the small leaflet inside the box, it says that it only works with the software declared on the outside of the box. The model number is A-UD58.
As I want to use with more than Skype calls, should I return it for a refund?
Or does this device work generally with audio software?
I've previously bought a speakerphone which attaches to the (non-internet) telephone system, and which provides echo cancellation successfully for phone-conferencing calls. So it's not hard to do echo cancellation "inside the device".
So when I ordered a speakerphone which attaches to a PC via USB, and which attaches as a complete audio-device to the Windows XP system, I assumed that it would be as flexible as the telephone sort, and that it would be able to do echo cancellation internally, and not rely on compliance with any 3rd-party software.
SO I guess my question is, is this device going to provide any echo cancellation with less well-known software, like (say) InSors, VRVS, and so on? Or should I return it?
Many thanks for any advice.
