I have a Samsung TV that I want to use for two differnt purposes in my system. First it's the display for cable and DVD activities. Second it has the Smart Hub with Netflix, etc. I want to add an activity for using it as the source for Netflix. How do I do that?
Do I add it twice as a device? If so, what kind of device? If not, what kind of activity do I setup?

We're sorry you're having problems with your Harmony remote control's programming, please allow me to assist you on your problem. Once you've added the device (add it as it is not twice)go ahead and create a 'Watch Tv' activity and choose basic cable or antenna. If the software asks you what device to use to change channels, just pick the tv. Volume control can be the tv or your avr depending on the set up you have. Once the activity is set, go to customize buttons (if you're using the 7.7.0 software)and map the 'Smart Hub' command on the Harmony remote control's button (any button you prefer).
However, if you're using the MyHarmony.com software go to activities and choose 'Watch tv', once you're on the activity, you'll be able to see an image of the remote in the middle of the page and on the right side of it there will be a list with a drop down menu for the available devices included in the activity. Click the drop down menu and choose tv. Once chosen, all the available commands will appear as a list and look for 'Smart Hub' and just click and drag the command to a button of your choice. After this process you need to update the remote and test.

I'm useing the Harmony software 7.7.0.
I have a Samsung Smart Hub TV
I have a receiver and a DVR.
I have set up the Watch Tv with out any problems, but now need to set up the Smart Hub. I have read some of the solutions, but I'm confused.
I have set up the Smart Hub using custom commands ,but sound on my receiver is still the TV. It needs to be the receiver.
Do I set up a new Activity and if so what do I choose, "Generic"?
How do I get the sound from the TV to my receiver?
Need some help

Just checking, but you'll have to run an audio cable back to your receiver from your TV. I have an HDMI from receiver to TV to output all other sources and a digital audio cable running the other way to carry sound for the SmartHub activity.
Once that's done, it should just be a matter of selecting the correct input on your receiver.

My tv and receiver had a feature called ARC. If yours has it then the audio from the tv will be able to be sent back to the receiver without the use of another cable. Make sure you enable that feature in your receiver settings or it won't work. On both ends, the HDMI input had ARC written next to it.

My Laptop is my TV and movie theatre all rolled into one with streaming VPN nicely allowing watching of Netflix in US or Mexico, wherever I wish to go.
