Adding new devices on the Harmony Remote 1100

Hello I was hoping I could tap into the vast amount of knowledge here. I have had a harmony 1100 remote for a few months and just got a new cable TV box. When trying to add a new device I can enter "cable" on the device, and "Motorola" in the make field but it will not let me enter the model number. When I click on the blank model field the flashing cursor just isnt there, it just stays blank, not letting me enter anything.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

That sounds like a temporary fault on that particular log-in so try again after the computer has been turned off and back on.

Re: Adding new devices on the Harmony Remote 1100

Hi All,

I would like to control Bose Lifestyle V35  (AV35 music center), with Harmony 1100 Universal remote

As it is a new system and not yet on compatibility list, would it be compatible with Harmony 1100 remote.

I can see the previous, older systems that are compatible. I would also like to control Bose VideoWave TV.  I am pretty sure that V35 works with an RF remote but am not sure of the Bose TV remote.

Re: Adding new devices on the Harmony Remote 1100

In order for any universal remote to be able to control any device, that device must be able to be set to IR.  Most Bose systems have the abliity to be controlled either by RF or IR.  You would have to check with Bose to see if your system is able to be changed to be controlled by IR.
