Using software version 7.7.0 and Mac OS 10.6.4.  When get to the rename screen, the current activity name is highlighted in the text box, but I can't get a cursor in it to delete/add text.  Computer has been through multiple restarts and this behavior persists.  Very annoying, as I've never had trouble with this before.

You could try uninstall/reinstall the software.

I tried to change activity name on 2 Apple computers with 7.7.0 software (1 on OSX 10.6 and 1 on OSX 10.5).
Same issue: we can't change the activity name (When get to the rename screen, the current activity name is highlighted in the text box, but I can't get a cursor in it to delete/add text). So uninstall/reinstall the software do not work ...

Everything's OK for Windows users?

Logitech should check this OSX issue on the next software update. I hope!

using windows 7 and remote softerware version 7.7.0 and can;t find a way to change  the name of an activity either.  It sort of sux...  I think they need to work on the development of the remote sofrware,,, navigation in it isn't friendly to netbooks, as the screen resolution of wrong and the windows aren''t resizable.  the forward next, back and done buttons are at thebottom opf the screen and when you are used to usiing a browser the back andn forward buttons are on the top left.  it just seems wrong to not be able to name the activities and the devices.   especially the activities

Also, I can't find a way to delete buttons that I added accidently or don't want to include

I installed it on two different computers, one using XP and the other Windows 7 with the same results.  I think the 7.7.0 version must be a defective version since it doesn't allow to change the activity names.   My set up has a comcast dvr by motorola and a Philps DVR, so I end up with them named record movie and record movie 2....  not what I'd like

I can change activity names just fine on both those OS's. I have no trouble removing buttons either. Where exactly are you getting stuck?
