Cannot communicate with remote

I have a harmony one remote. Trying to add a device (2 years since last time set up) and getting the following message "Communicating with your harmony remote. This may take a few minutes....". Then another message just above activity bar, hat says "plug the USB cable into the remote control, or press any button on the remote to wake it up." The activity bar remains at 0% for hours. On the remote, the display indicates USB connected with a green check mark.

Any help appreciated.

I am having the same problem. by the time you pay for support you may as well buy a new remote

If you are having problems with the software or the remote is not communicating, you will not be charge for that.
