I just purchased a monoprice HDMI switch and I'm having an issue when I turn on the TV the switch is not picking up the sound from the cable box I was wondering if I should change the order I turn things on or if I should change the switch delays in the settiing, any help would be appreciated

Does the HDMI switch go to the correct input when you select your Activity?  Do you have Video?

Yes the swtich does go to the right selection, and I do get a picture. the aduio does go to my bose system via optical cable not hdmi. thanks for any help you can give

I am assuming that you have an 1100 Harmony and not a 110, as there is no such model number.  You are going to have to add an additional command to your setup to have your Bose system switch to the Optical input.
