Harmony 700 and Samsung

Forgive me if this is a repost...but I am new to the forums and to Harmony remotes. I recently picked up a Harmony 700 in an attempt to simplify remote operations for my girlfriend. After struggling to find the correct power on and input delay configurations for my equipment, i set everything back to the defaults and decided to get some help from the experts...

Samsung TV LN40B530P7FXZA (default power on delay 15sec, inter-device delay 1sec)

Samsung Home Theater HT-C6930W (default power on delay 5sec, inter-device delay .5sec)

PVR Motorola/Comcast DCX3400-M

My issue is that when I first power up all of the devices, the home theater box ends up on the wrong input despite what it is programmed for in the Harmony Software. The only connection used on the TV is HDMI 1. I am currently using Method 2 for the input method on the tv settings as suggested in several forum posts. Samsung Anynet is turned off on both the TV and Receiver. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know your TV but Method 2 requires a unique source input command, which you could test in Tv's Device mode just to make sure that has the desired effect, and then check the Tv's input setting in the Watch Tv activity:-
Watch Tv Activity: settings> review the settings> 'I want to add more control' etc. - to ensure it does send the right TV input command.
If that checks out then maybe a different Input Method is needed

Re: Harmony 700 and Samsung

What the OP needs to do is to increase the Power On delay for the home theater

Right....should have thought of that because our Panasonic SA-BTT370 home theatre takes so long, maybe 30 secs, at first to get itself up and running, that it needs an additional command much later than everything else takes to be working, to bump the input from the 'home' screen in which it always starts.

Once running there is no problem and the inputs cycle controllably. It remembers the last input position but the 'home' screen which does not feature in the input list, is a pain.
