Hi!
So I have a strange issue regarding the Harmony One...
I have setup an activity called Watch TV. It's very basic, only the TV is involved. No satboxes, receivers or anything else.
The thing is I have 2 satellite dishes coming into a diseq switch which then sends a single sat-cable to my samsung TV.
To change between the 2 satellites with the Samsung remote I have to enter Menu, go 2 steps down and 2 steps to the right. Then I end up in a submenu where I can choose between Antenna, Cable, Sat1 and Sat2.
At first my plan was to have two activities: Watch Sat1 and Watch Sat2. However I can not find any possibility to set the input to a specific Sat-input since both come in under the main input called TV. There are no options to dig deeper into the menus with the Harmony.
I could have put the sequence to run when choosing activity, but this submenu doesn't have an end, so to speak, if I go down to bottom and down again it'll start from the top again, and the Harmony can't know what's highlighted right then.
So I thought I'd just have 1 activity called Watch TV and make a sequence for the E button on the Harmony where I go: Menu, Down, Down, Right, Right.
This would take me to to the submenu where I can choose which Sat to activate. A few extra button pressing but I can live with that...
So the E-button sequence works as planned, but only when the Harmony display shows the extra soft buttons view(Where I right now have those colour buttons and a few others).
When the display show activities nothing happens when pressing the E-button. Why is that? Every other button I programmed works as it should (Many buttons are specialized, and not from Harmony's standard setup for tv).
It's just the sequence button that fails, and only when Activities window is active on the Harmony.
So, just go back to the other window, some of you may say? Of course, but getting the Harmony is about simplyfying things, and making it easier for small kids and a non-tehnical wife to use the thing.
This got long, but if anyone can give me some advice I'd be grateful, cause I just can't see any solution here...

Hello ztevie,
Sorry for the delay in response.
For what you would like to do, it would be best to contact Harmony Support if you have not already.

Post your TV model. Your Samsung most likely already has discrete input commands, so you shouldn't need any sequences at all.
