Re: Harmony Software on OSX Lion (64-bit)

I agree.

What is Logitech's problem with Apple? Gosh, it's been going on for years and seems incredibly childish. Either support the products for the environment or don't and let us find other vendors.

But it gets tiring - everything from the Harnony Remote software to drivers for their keyboards and such, Logitech will go halfway and offer products or limited support and then look down their noses at their own customers. Why?

Apple is now the DOMINANT hardware platform for consumer devices. Be it laptops, tablets, or smartphones, Apple is no longer the underdog to Microsoft - they are the worldwide leader. So please stop treating your own customers like second class citizens with poor support, slow product updates (Harmony Remote software) that doesn't even follow Apple interface and software standards, and lack of drivers for many of the USB products - USB is also on Mac!

Please. This is ridiculous.

+1 for disgust over this issue! I have no future interest in Logitech products for personal or work use. While I can't realistically state 'Live by Windows, Die by Windows', your definitely loosing customers over your lack of timely Apple support based on the size of this growing thread of complaints.

Re: Harmony Software on OSX Lion (64-bit)

Just as a note to anyone who is running parallels - I was able to update my remote from the windows version of the harmony software while running inside parallels.  I'm running parallels from OS X Lion

Re: Harmony Software on OSX Lion (64-bit)

chadkouse... Did you have to do anything special to get Parallels to recognize your remote? I'm using Parallels, but I cannot get Windows 7 to recognize my Harmony One remote.

No, nothing special. I am running XP from within parallels though.  I am running Parallels 7 (build 7.0.15054)

Re: Harmony Software on OSX Lion (64-bit)

This is BS... I vote with my wallet... and if I have to beg to get Logitech to take my money, forget it. This remote is going back... this is simpy NOT worth the effort.

Re: Harmony Software on OSX Lion (64-bit)

Logitech, a request: When you get your software up and running on the current generation of computers (really?!?  you have to be asked to make your software work on current machines?!?), feel free to take some time to make the uninstaller work too.

I've got a Harmony 300 I was trying to do some advanced setting on for my Plex media server; I downloaded and installed your software.  Your software then told me I couldn't use it to program the remote and I had to do it on the website (disappointing, since the website didn't offer what I needed, but fine, whatever).  Then when I tried to uninstall your software, I get a message saying the uninstaller isn't supported in 10.7.3.

Really?  You'll let me install the software, but you won't let me uninstall?

I think packaging an installer next to a non-functioning uninstaller is, at the very best, tremendously unethical, dishonest, and disrespectful of your customers.  (And that's at the very best.)

Re: Harmony Software on OSX Lion (64-bit)

So basically they are saying that unless a large portion of there customers are affected they dont care. If they do not release a update that allows me to use the setup software with my system I will be taking my business elsewhere. Completey unacceptable

Re: Harmony Software on OSX Lion (64-bit)

I just bought the Harmony 900 and spend quite some time yesterday evening trying to update the remote control. This morning, I then found out that the software does not support Lion 64 bit. Come on Logitech, you've got a be kidding. This is absolutely outrageous and completely unacceptable.

I will certainly give back the remote and take my business elsewhere.
