Thank you for trying the Beta version of the software and providing feedback. We now have a RELEASE CANDIDATE software which should fix the remaining issues reported in this thread. Please try it!
The software can be downloaded at:

Hi,
Also same result for me remote gets ip-address, but not able to update config.
Here is log when I start software, couple of notes
It is requesting java 1.4.
It scans network interfaces and seems to found remote.
There is Warning: Apps should cease use of QuickDraw and move to Quartz.
[JavaAppLauncher] Requested [1.4*], launching in [1.6] instead.

I booted my Imac into 32 bit mode (restart and hold 2 & 3 buttons during reboot). Still had some issues. So I used Parelles and logged into WIndow 7 on the Mac. Downloaded the Logetech software for Window 7 and finally got the remote to work. A few issues and so had to go back and redo a few times. For example the volume up button opened the FIOS widget... Not sure why logetech has that as a default, but it's easily corrected. With APPLE products becoming more main stream, maybe Logetech will take note about the issues with the iMac software... Good Luck to ALL.

rc .. no difference .. tried it using an admin account but normally using a standard account.
I might go with red eye which will do the trick I hope. If the Harmony Link is as disastrous as this it's no option either.
When they finally got it to work mountain lion will be out and everybody will be lost again.
It's sad as I always liked Logitech and the Harmony was a good piece of hardware but the software is even under windows too "wizardly" and bad.
just my 2 cents
