Primitive software

Just spent the best part of 5 hours trying to reprogram my 650 remote. It was working reasonably well except that it kept needing me to go through the help function to shut down my WD Live Tv player.I decided to set it up again on my PC.Unfortunately for me i have just recently upgraded to Win 7 64bit,and of course i couldnt get the Harmony software to install.Eventually did,god knows how now,but then, i find the harmony user interface has all changed.I had to check a few times to make sure it was actually Logitech's software,so primitive it appears to be.I just wonder if they ever actually get someone who doesnt know the software to walk through and do a test setup. Its probably all very 'logical' if you are the person who designed it,but that aint the rest of us.

I dont think the kids doing the programming at Logitech have any understanding of what the term 'intuitive' means.

I've rarely struck such a converlouted workflow.Previous functionality and choices seem to have  disappeared .I wanted to simply set up my TV to switch to HDMI 2 so my son could run XboxThats all,no other activities.Took me a while to work through the limited choices to get to the last one called 'Utilities"which i had assumed may have been for some sort of purpose like a software update for devices etc,but no, it actually let me create a single switching function on the TV.

The other painful experience was trying to map specific buttons to the harmony's buttons.I liked the previous drag and drop method. It worked(most of the time anyway). The current process is so daunting i just gave up.Well done Logitech. You seem to have a knack for making something work then completely undoing it all in your next version

.Dont start me on my Squeezebox Duet Server software.
