I have Harmony Remote Software 7.7.0 running on my MacBook Pro running 10.7.4 (in 64-bit mode) and it works as advertised with my Harmony One, and always has.
I just got a Harmony 300 (to replace my mother's lost Samsung remote). I created a new account to program the 300 for my Mum's TV, but during the setup process the software couldn't find the remote.
I logged out of the new account and back into the old one and connected the Harmony One again (using the same cable) and the software found that fine.
I installed v7.7.0 of the software on a Mac Pro running 10.6.8 (in 32-bit mode) and loggd into the new account, but the software still didn't find the 300.
When connected to the computer, there's no indication that the 300 is on. When it's not connected, a press on the 'Watch TV' button lights up the 'TV' light for a couple of seconds. I assume this is how it's supposed to work. This behaviour disappears when I connect the USB cable, and there's no way to tell the 300 is on. However, the Mac System Profiler reports 'Harmony Remote -1.2.0' on the USBus when it's connected to either computer, so I guess it's working. If I could just convince the software that it's there.
Any ideas what I can try next to programme the 300?
Thanks in advance,
