Sound delay with Harmony 700

Hi - my Harmony 700 turns on the  Bell Canada HD/PVR satellite box, Samsung TV, and Samsung home theatre in that order. However, the sound (through the home theatre) and TV come on at the same time for about 1 or 2 seconds then the sound goes mute/off for about 5 or 6 seconds, then the sounds comes back on, and there is no problem after that.   I tried adjusting the Inter-Device Delay settings but nothing seems to work.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Sound delay with Harmony 700

What is happening when the sounds goes off is the Harmony remote is sending the Input command, even though it may be on the correct input.  When the input command is sent, you will momentarily loose the sound, this is normal.  This happpens any time my Samsung TV is turned on and the input command is sent.

Re: Sound delay with Harmony 700

Thank you for the quick response.  Would it make any difference  at all if I were to start the home theatre first, followed by the PVR and TV?

Re: Sound delay with Harmony 700

Probably not, once the TV powers on and the Harmony waits for the Power On delay to pass the Harmony will still send the Input command and you will still get a brief audio dropout.  I tried powering off the TV, with everything else still powered on, and when I powered on the TV, the HDMI1 showed in the display on the TV and I lost audio for a brief sec or two.
