This POST needs to be stickied!
This DUDE needs more KUDOS!
This ANSWER needs to be updated (since the official solution doesn't work for a TON of people):
In summary: DO NOT MESS WITH THE "Additional Buttons" for "Sound" (and I assume PIC as well). If you DID mess with them, go back in there and choose "Reset to Defaults" - (make SURE) you are under "Sound", "Additional Buttons". That was the fix for me.
I tried ALL of the suggestions in the above linked thread. I uninstalled, reinstalled the SW. I tried two different computers....
I have a new (to me) 620 that I just got and spent about 5 hours programming all kinds of changes for (my previous 670 has a borken USB port and thus cannot be updated). I had a LOT of changes to to make but did them in somewhat small steps, updating the remote, testing then making more changes. I was about done when I started periodically getting the dreaded "unable to display content" message. I was able to get past it a few times and thought it was just a fluke. Usually some combination of restarting the SW and moving the USB cable to a different port fixed it. Then I madethe mistake of updating the firmware which went fine itself - but that puts your remote in a completely useless "paperweight" mode until you update it again and that is when the evil message came back to stay. I am staying clear of firmware updates from now on.
Thanks SO MUCH for this solution.
UPDATE: Problem came back. Same "Reset to Defaults" in the Additional Buttons, Sound section fixed it again. I hadn't made any additional changes in that section...BUT when I checked, my old changes were there again. This may be related to the SW locking up in the middle of an update and having to kill it and try again.

If this does not work, like it didn't me, try first syncing using the myharmony website, then syncing with the software. Fixed things well.

If the OP is using the MyHarmony, and is getting Unable to display, content message, he cannot simply go to the 7.7 software and try to update with that He has to create new user account and program the remote over from scratch before he would be able to Update the remote. And the same hold true, if he is using the 7.7 software, he cannot just start using the MyHarmony without creating a new user account and program the remote from scratch
