I'm new to the Harmony world and trying to figure out the right / best thing to do.
Here is what I have seen thus far:
(I wish I had found something like this in the FAQ before I started going down various trial-and-error paths)
MyHarmony.com
Recommended out of the box
Fancy UI (e.g. easy drag/drop commands onto image of remote - nicely done)
Missing some key functionality (e.g. being able to re-order activities and disable the "assistant")
Favorite Channels feature is broken
Windows Desktop 7.7.0
The only place I found to customize the dedicated activity buttons at the top. (i.e. Watch TV / Movie, Listen to Music)
Newly added activities seem to drop into random order
Sync'ing w/ the remote shuffles those activities once again
members.harmonyremote.com
This one almost feels like two different versions lumped together.
Specifically, you start off at Welcome_Show.asp, and you can customize buttons, add Favs, update the remote, etc..., and the Home link at the top takes you back to this page.
Then, you stumble on "More Options" and suddenly, you get a much nicer and completely different Home page (UserHome.asp) where you can also customize buttons and much more, and the Home link at the top of the screen now takes you back there.
Besides that very strange quirk, the latter Home is much more powerful than the MyHarmony interface, which is odd since it appears to be older, and is not recommended out of the box.
The only place I found which allows re-ordering of activities on the LCD panel.
I will continue to update these lists as I learn more of the pros/cons of each piece of software, and/or hear from others.
Regards,
n8
P.S. Does anybody know the history of why Logitech has three completely separate applications to program the remote?

Number 2 & number 3 are basically the same, if you use # 3, to update your remote, you will still need the 7.7 software on your PC. When I was still working, I would use #3 at work to make some changes to my settings, then when I came home I would Update my remote using the 7.7 software. Number 2 7.7 software is far superior to MyHarmoy, as it gives you a lot more control of your setup, it just doesn't have a fancy UI Number 3 is no longer supported by Logitech, but it still can be used, but as I said if you use Members Harmony, you still need the 7.7 software installed on your PC to update your remote.

I don't see a way to re-order Activities except in the members.harmonyremote.com ?
i.e. I can't find it in the Desktop 7.7 software
Thanks,

For Harmony remotes with Dedicated Activity Buttons, i.e., Watch TV, Watch a Movie, etc, the Logitech Harmony Remote Software 7.7.0, does not provide an option to reorder Activities.

Silverfoxx,
why would Logitech remove that functionality from 7.3 to 7.7.0?
When will it be back?
It is a must-have feature.
Thanks!
