Remote Control Software

Today I bought the harmony 300 and tomorrow it will be returned.  Cannot believe an installation can be so difficult or buggy.  I am a professional software engineer and cannot get this remote to work.  running win7 with all patches and Java up to date;  tried playing with USB, uninstalled and reinstalled program, stopped the firewall, etc., but nothing.  CANNOT believe you guys can do this to an amateur or a novice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you using MyHarmony.com to program the remote or are you tring to use the stand alone software 7.7?

I am using myharmony.com which is the website they mention in the package of the remote control.  Is there another way to get into their site?

You also need the latest version of Microsoft's Silverlight installed.

No.

But ... don't connect your Harmony to USB until you are asked for from the software.
