Remote Control Software

I reinstalled Win7-64bit on my HTPC on a new bigger disk.  I reinstalled all the drivers.  I installed the latest logitech software for win7 version 7.7, but the remote does not affect the computer or media center at all.   It still works fine on TV, Reciever, dvd player,...., but not on the computer.  When i press buttons on the remote, the reciever does blink, so something is transmitting. What did I miss on the win7 install?

Any clues or help appreciated.
